San Diego resident Mitch Wolf realized that public art, specifically surfer statues, are subject to scrutiny all over the world, not just in Cardiff-by-the-Sea. He came across Donald Paterson’s “Mountie” sculpture while in New Zealand in July. “Mountie” sits proudly in front of the Mainstreet Centre in Mt.
