Police arrest robbery suspect

CARLSBAD — On Dec. 25, 2009, a white male suspect entered the Shell gas station located at 665 Palomar Airport Road. The suspect threatened to shoot the clerk if the clerk did not provide the suspect with the money from the cash register. The clerk complied with the suspect’s demands and gave the money from the cash register to the suspect. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival.
Carlsbad Police detectives investigated this case and identified Brian Calloway, 37, as the suspect in this robbery.
On March 31, Carlsbad Police detectives arrested Calloway in the 900 block of West Mission Ave. in Escondido. Calloway was booked into the Vista Detention Facility for robbery, commercial burglary, and death threats. Calloway’s bail was set at $125,000.
