A passerby admires the quilt on display in the entryway of the Carlsbad City Library, 1775 Dove Lane. The queen-size quilt was sewn by Caroline Barnes in memory of children’s librarian Connie E. Costantino. Tickets for a chance to win the quilt are available at the Friends of the Library bookstore at $5 each or five for $20. The winning ticket will be drawn at the Friends’ Better Books Sale on May 1 and May 2. Proceeds from the drawing will benefit the children’s department of the library. Courtesy photo
