House Raffles are fabulous, and truly a win win for everyone. Even those that buy and don't win have helped a worthy cause. Unless the nonprofit purchases the home regrdless of the grand prize winners choice to take the cash, I recommend a holding fee to the homeowner. So if the grand rize winner takes the cash prize, then the homeowner can reduce the price of the home the amount of the holding fee for a quick sale below market value. In this way, the homeowner still gets their house sold.

looks like they'll only need to sell 12,000 tickets to break even. let's see...

...with odds like those:
Odds of injury from shaving: 6,585 to 1 (whoops!)
Odds of injury from using a chain saw: 4,464 to 1 (vroom vroommmm)
Odds of being murdered: 18,000 to 1 (let's hope not)
Odds of dating a supermodel: 88,000 to 1 (possibly better in encinitas)
Odds of getting hemorrhoids: 25 to 1 (looking at you FullofBS)
Odds of winning an Academy Award: 11,500 to 1
Odds of getting a royal flush in poker on first five cards dealt: 649,740 to 1 (this one actually makes this contest look better hmmm..)
Odds of winning the California lottery: 13,000,000 to 1 (we all know this ain't happening)
and finally Odds of a meteor landing on your (possibly )new ronald mcdonald) house: 182,138,880,000,000 to 1

Good luck!
