I am also the parent of a young child that enjoys the playground at Orpheus park. I absolutely oppose extending the hours simply becuase a (small?) percentage of dog owners do not respect the rules and do not clean after their pets and allow their pets into the childrens play area where many of these dogs urinate on the childrens equipment. Also, if you break the law and get a ticket, don’t complain and say stupid things like “I am embarassed to be an Encinitas resident” because you got caught. “Do the crime, do the time” is the fundamental basic principle of civilization.
