CARLSBAD — Traditional folk dancers will highlight the fifth annual Festa Italiana hosted by the Sons of Italy in America La Costa dei Fiori Lodge of Encinitas from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 11, at the Island Shopping Center, 5814 Van Allen Way.
Joe Zazzaro and Ro Fifer co-chaired the festival. This all-Italian event will also include instrumental music, opera, authentic Italian food, wine tasting, book signings, Bocce ball, European art and craft booths, plus a raffle drawing to benefit Cooley’s Anemia. Folk dancers will perform at 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. A wine tasting is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., for a $10 fee.
