ENCINITAS — The Encinitas Senior Center is seeking volunteer drivers to take senior residents to the pharmacy, senior center, doctor and grocery store. It currently provides drivers for about 85 homebound seniors but unfortunately has a waiting list of senior passengers who are in need of a driver.
Drivers will be responsible for transporting a senior in your private vehicle and will be reimbursed the annual IRS rate per mile.
Call the Encinitas Senior Center Out & About Transportation Program at (760) 943-2256 to request an application to be a volunteer driver.
