ENCINITAS — A poetry slam tribute to Full Moon Poet Robert Nanninga, who died Feb. 14, will be held March 12 the La Paloma Theatre.
This special event is free to the public and doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for a reception. Poetry readings will begin at 7 p.m. Invited poets will read Nanninga’s poetry, along with words they have written for their friend. An open reading will follow the scheduled performance, to allow the community a chance to express thoughts about Nanninga.
There will be a sign-up sheet in the lobby for those who wish to read during the open-reading portion of the evening. Seating is limited so planners suggest an early arrival.
