Students learn about safety

VISTA — North Star Academy in Vista recently focused on different aspects of safety within their homes and their community during the school’s PTO sponsored Safety Week. A variety of materials were given to students that covered in home and community related guides to safety. Coloring books and safety guides were provided by SDG&E, California Poison Control and North County Transit District. The students visited the Vista Fire Station No. 1 where firefighters showed the students up close the vehicles and tools that help fight fires and save lives. North Star Academy of Independent Learning and Fine Arts is a home school part of the Vista Unified School District for more than 15 years.
