Anon 9:26

You have no idea what these parks are like. You are unfortunately basing your opinion on the stereotype that trailer parks are full of ignorants, trashy, druged out people. Not the case. These parks are full of incredible people who have fortunately found an alternative way to live close to the beach. Professionals, retirees, families and weekenders. We keep our community clean and have pride in it. I invite you to check out these "slums" off of Vulcan and check out some of the places. Residents are quite creative on how they build and maintain their mobile homes.

What you should be more concerned about is how the city spends money and not the residents in these parks.

Welfare kills the soul. No wonder this country is crashing so fast. People think they are born with endless entitlements and the government fools support their dependent needs to keep them slaves and give up their true freedoms. What a shame!

$45k for a study? Come on council. I think I know of a lot better way to spend this money.

Also, I think we (Encinitas) should look at ways to revitalize these slum (aka trailer) parks. The one on El Camino is in good shape but the ones in Leucadia along Vulcan are is very poor shape. I think we can reform these parks into nice looking homes and/or apts. City Council, think of the property tax income if you cleaned up the Leucadia mess!

Another thought is that there are people who want to purchase homes in Encinitas. Why would we spend money to _give_ or subsidize properties to people?
