SAN MARCOS — A new competitive basketball team is forming for girls in third through eighth grade in the North County area. Coastal Elite Coach Caitlin Haley is holding tryouts at Corky Smith Gym at 274 Pico Avenue from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 26.
