Free senior services offered
ENCINITAS — It could be a safer, more secure 2009 for area seniors, with the arrival of free services available nearby at the Encinitas Senior and Community Center, 1140 Oakcrest Park Drive just off Balour Street.
Special help is being made available for anyone 50 years or older or disabled who live in Encinitas through Project C.A.R.E. (Community Action To Reach The Elderly). If you live alone or just want that additional sense of security, these free services are offered as a safety net: Vial of Life, Gatekeeper, Postal Alert, Home Safety Check, Your Are Not Alone and “Are You Okay?”
For a brochure with detailed information or to register for the program, call Encinitas Project C.A.R.E. Monday through Friday at (760) 943-2255.
