Free kit helps save water and energy

OCEANSIDE —San Diego Gas & Electric has assembled a home energy-saving kit for the Oceanside community containing useful items to help save water and the energy used to heat it. By saving water and energy, SDG&E believes you will be helping to protect the environment by conserving precious natural resources for the region.
The kit includes a low-flow showerhead, a kitchen faucet aerator, and two bathroom faucet aerators. These devices allow air to enter into the water stream, maintaining a high-pressure flow while reducing water usage.
To request a free Home Energy-Saving Kit contact SDG&E at (800) 644-6133 or www.sdge.com/energykit. For additional information contact Nancy Romero at the City of Oceanside’s Water Utilities Department at (760) 435-5828 or visit www.ci.oceanside.ca.us.
