VISTA — The Boys & Girls Club of Vista was recently awarded a $500 start-up grant from the Staples Foundation for Learning for its Vista Unit Torch Club.
Torch Clubs are a national charter small-group leadership and service club for boys and girls ages 11 through 13. A Torch Club is a vehicle through which Boys & Girls Club staff can help meet the special character development needs of younger adolescents at a critical stage in their development. Staples Foundation for Learning, Inc, and Staples, Inc. sponsor the club program.
