Author visit set at Rancho Santa Fe Library

RANCHO SANTA FE — The newly renovated Rancho Santa Fe Library will host
Olivenhain author Mike Ryan, discussing his book “The Old Guys — Back To Baghdad,” at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 12 at 17040 Avenida de Acacias.
The story centers around three unlikely heroes, disenfranchised baby boomers (the old guys) and a retired Marine sergeant who face almost insurmountable odds when pitted against terrorist kidnappers in the Middle East. Although the book is fiction, it is fact-filled and has received good reviews from many contract workers in the Anwar Province of Iraq, and widely read by returning veterans at the San Diego Navy Medical Center.
Ryan plans to also provide homemade chocolate chip cookies. For details, call (858) 756-2512.
