Student choral groups sing for the season

CARLSBAD — Carlsbad High School and Aviara Oaks Middle School will hold a community holiday concert at 7 p.m. Dec. 9 at the Carlsbad Performing Arts Center on Lancer Way. Suggested donation is $5 and there will be a silent auction of holiday-themed baskets from 5 to 7 p.m.
All proceeds will benefit the orchestras. This year, Carlsbad High School has been invited to play in the Heritage Music Festival at Carnegie Hall in April 2009. The community is invited to join the orchestras in this evening of classical and favorite holiday music selections.
For more information, contact Marina Hall, music director for both orchestras, at (760) 331-6104.
