Unbelievable - Mayor Roberts calls this a victory? His staff and high priced lobbyists (McCabe = $37,500) and consultant (Meyerhoff >$140,000) had until September 09 to get the LCP approved. Instead they called for a hearing in November 08 with a LCP that Coastal Commission Staff advised was not compliant with the Coastal Act in January 08. The lobbyists and consultants fees could have been used to make the necessary revisions to the LCP to get it compliant with the Coastal Act. Commissioner Mary K. Shallenberger pointed out the waste of taxpayer money and time when we have huge budget issues and Staff is being cut at the Coastal Commission.
